In 2016, the International Committee of the Red Cross established a multi-year partnership with the Rafik Hariri University Hospital (RHUH). By reinforcing the hospital infrastructure and building the capacity of caregivers, this collaboration aims to increase access to quality healthcare for the most vulnerable populations. Over 17'000 patients were supported to date. The Agence Française de Développement joined the partnership in 2019 and is funding this project until 2022. The hospital has been on the frontline since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic: 650 infected patients were admitted to the hospital and 350 have fully recovered. أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة، اليوم السبت، تسجيل إصابتين جديدتين بوباء “الكوليرا”، مشيرة إلى أنّ العدد التراكمي للحالات المثبتة ارتفع إلى 663 في حين أنه لم يتم تسجيل أي حالة وفاة علماً أنّ العدد التراكمي للوفيات هو 23.
وفي ما خصّ “كورونا”، فقد أعلنت الوزارة عن تسجيل 70 إصابة جديدة رفع العدد التراكمي للحالات المُثبتة إلى 1221640، كما لم يتم تسجيل أي حالة وفاة.
